The footprint is spread across a handful of well-defined KIADB belts, and knowing which estate a buyer sits in usually tells us what plywood specification they need before the call even starts.</p><h3>Key industrial belts and sectors</h3><ul><li><strong>Tarihal Industrial Area</strong> — the largest KIADB estate on the Hubli side, housing automotive ancillary units, fabrication shops and the bus-body and rail-coach ecosystem. Crates here trend large and heavy.</li><li><strong>Gokul Road Industrial Area</strong> — a mix of engineering, packaged-food and FMCG units. Demand leans toward repeatable pallet sizes and lighter export cartons with plywood reinforcement.</li><li><strong>Belur Industrial Area, Dharwad</strong> — KIADB's flagship Dharwad estate, anchored by automotive, electrical and pharma units. This belt drives steady ISPM-15 crate volume because finished goods often move to GCC and South-East Asian markets.</li><li><strong>Rayapur and Mummigatti</strong> — newer KIADB pockets with food-processing, cold-chain and agro units. Container flooring and slip-sheet plywood see seasonal spikes here.</li><li><strong>Ceramic and granite cluster around Hubli</strong> — a large tile and sanitaryware ecosystem that consumes heavy plywood volumes for tile pallets, edge-protection battens and reinforced crates for vitrified-tile exports.</li><li><strong>APMC Yard and agro-processing belt</strong> — chilli, cotton, jowar and oilseed processing units that need pallets and container-floor sheets for bulk export cargo.</li></ul><p>The sectors we serve here break down cleanly into four buckets: automotive and bus-body assemblies, ceramic and tile exports, agro and food processing, and general engineering exports. Each bucket has its own plywood diet.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">What we ship</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Three product families on every north-bound truck</h2><p>The truckloads heading north on NH-66 and then east via NH-748 typically carry a mix of three product families. The exact split depends on which estate the buyer sits in.</p><h3>Packing-grade plywood</h3><p>Our MR-Packing grade is the workhorse. Standard thicknesses moving to Hubli-Dharwad are 6mm, 8mm, 12mm and 18mm in 8x4 sheets, with 12mm most common for crate side panels and 18mm for bases under heavy ceramic or machinery loads. The grade carries our packing-spec glue line and hardwood core, and is graded for one-way export packaging rather than furniture finish. Okoume is available as a face-veneer option on this grade where buyers want a cleaner export-grade appearance, typically for high-value machinery crates or branded ceramic exports.</p><table><thead><tr><th>Thickness</th><th>Common use</th><th>Selling rate (ex-factory)</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>6mm</td><td>Light crate panels, cartons</td><td>₹24/sq.ft</td></tr><tr><td>8mm</td><td>Crate sides, lighter loads</td><td>₹28/sq.ft</td></tr><tr><td>12mm</td><td>Crate side panels (most common)</td><td>₹33.5/sq.ft</td></tr><tr><td>18mm</td><td>Bases under ceramic and machinery loads</td><td>₹42/sq.ft</td></tr></tbody></table><p>Rates are ex-factory; GST and freight extra.</p><h3>Crate construction</h3><p>For Tarihal and Belur estate buyers building crates for buses, rail components, transformers or CNC machines, we ship knock-down crate kits cut to specification — base, four sides, lid, with battens and corner pieces pre-sized. We supply ISPM-15 heat-treated sawn timber for the framing, stamped at certified facilities within our group. Loads above 2 tonnes typically take 18mm bases with 12mm sides on hardwood framing; lighter loads run 12mm bases with 8mm sides.</p><h3>Pallet sizes</h3><p>Ceramic and tile exporters in the Hubli belt tend to standardise on a few footprints. The two most common we ship are the 1200x1000mm Euro-style for European-bound containers and the 1100x1100mm CP standard for GCC and South-East Asia. Both are built with hardwood deckboards on rubberwood or jackwood stringers, with plywood top decks where the load profile demands a continuous surface.</p><h3>Container flooring</h3><p>For 20ft and 40ft containers being stuffed with granite slabs, ceramic tiles or heavy machinery sub-assemblies, we supply 18mm packing plywood floor sheets cut to container-floor dimensions. This is a small but recurring product for the Hubli-Mangaluru export movement.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Logistics</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Kochi to Hubli-Dharwad, lane and transit</h2><p>The road distance from our Perumbavoor dispatch yard to Hubli is roughly 700 km. The standard route runs Perumbavoor → Thrissur → Palakkad → Coimbatore → Salem → Bangalore bypass → Tumakuru → Chitradurga → Hubli, taking the NH-44 corridor for most of the trip. Transit time for a single-driver truck is typically 36 to 48 hours; double-driver moves can land inside 30 hours when consignments are time-critical.</p><h3>Trucking lane economics</h3><p>The Kochi-Hubli lane is well priced because it is part of the broader South-to-North truck movement and rarely runs empty in either direction. Full-truck loads (FTL) of 20 to 22 tonnes of mixed plywood and sawn timber are economical at this distance. Part-truck loads (PTL) are workable but the per-sheet freight bumps up noticeably, so we usually advise consolidating to FTL where the buyer's monthly draw supports it. For ISPM-15 stamped crate kits on tight export deadlines, we can also route through Mangaluru and into Hubli inland via NH-66 → NH-67, which sometimes makes sense if the buyer's container is loading at New Mangalore Port.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Choosing a grade</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Which grade for which load</h2><p>A quick reference for buyers comparing options for typical Hubli-Dharwad use cases:</p><table><thead><tr><th>Load profile</th><th>Recommended grade</th><th>Why</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>One-way export crates, ceramic tiles, machinery sub-assemblies under 2 tonnes</td><td>MR-Packing 12mm sides, 18mm base</td><td>Best ₹/sq.ft economics for single-use export packaging</td></tr><tr><td>High-value branded ceramic or machinery exports needing a cleaner face</td><td>MR-Packing with Okoume face</td><td>Smooth export-grade appearance without paying for full BWR</td></tr><tr><td>Heavy machinery, transformer or CNC crates above 3 tonnes</td><td>BWR-grade hardwood plywood with ISPM-15 framing</td><td>Moisture-resistant glue line for long sea voyages and tropical destinations</td></tr><tr><td>Construction project boxing in Hubli's infrastructure builds</td><td>Shuttering ply 12mm</td><td>Designed for repeated concrete pours, not export packing</td></tr><tr><td>Tile pallet decks and reusable warehouse pallets</td><td>MR-Packing 12mm top deck on hardwood stringers</td><td>Standard repeat-use spec at workable cost</td></tr></tbody></table><p>The general rule we apply on buyer calls: if the load is going inside India, MR-Packing is almost always the right answer. If it is going on a sea voyage longer than 14 days, the conversation shifts toward BWR or Okoume-face options.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">FAQ</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Common questions from Hubli-Dharwad buyers</h2><h3>How quickly can a truck be despatched after the PI is settled?</h3><p>For stock-grade MR-Packing in standard thicknesses, despatch happens within 48 to 72 hours of payment confirmation. Cut-to-size crate kits and Okoume-face loads typically add another 3 to 5 working days because of the cutting and pressing schedule.</p><h3>Do you supply ISPM-15 stamped crates ready to load?</h3><p>Yes. Crate kits ship with ISPM-15 stamped sawn-timber framing from our group's certified facilities. The plywood panels themselves do not require ISPM-15 because they are engineered wood, but the framing timber does, and that is what carries the stamp.</p><h3>What is the minimum order quantity for Hubli-Dharwad delivery?</h3><p>The freight economics make full-truck loads (around 800 to 1,000 sheets depending on thickness mix) the most efficient option. Smaller volumes are possible on shared trucks but the per-sheet landed cost rises sharply.</p></div>

For a Kerala plywood operation it is one of the most logical out-of-state markets to serve. The manufacturing and export base is concentrated in a handful of belts, each with a distinct packaging profile.</p><h3>New Mangalore Port and the Baikampady–Panambur belt</h3><p>New Mangalore Port (NMPT) is the anchor. It is one of India's major ports and handles a heavy mix of petroleum products, containers, iron-ore pellets, edible oils, fertiliser raw material, granite and project cargo. The Baikampady Industrial Area sits directly behind the port and is dense with packaging units, freight forwarders, CFS yards and exporters using wooden crates for break-bulk shipments. The KIADB Industrial Area at Baikampady alone has hundreds of small and medium units, most of which need either heat-treated pallets, export-grade plywood cases, or container floor reinforcement boards.</p><h3>The refinery, fertiliser and heavy-engineering vertical</h3><p>A major oil refinery at Katipalla and a large chemicals-and-fertiliser plant at Panambur are the two biggest process operations in the region. Around them sits a long tail of engineering fabricators, valve and instrumentation suppliers, and pump and rotating-equipment workshops. These units routinely crate up spares, skid-mounted equipment and replacement assemblies for movement to plants across India and the Gulf. Their packing standard is unforgiving — the box must survive forklift handling, ship-side lifting and monsoon exposure — and that pushes them toward thicker, denser hardwood plywood.</p><h3>Cashew, marine and seafood</h3><p>Mangalore and the surrounding Dakshina Kannada district remain a major cashew-processing belt, and the fishing harbour at Bunder is one of the largest on the west coast. The cashew industry consumes wooden cases and pallets for export consignments; the marine and seafood industry needs water-resistant plywood for thermocol-lined export cartons and for fishing-vessel deck and bulkhead work. Both are recurring, predictable demand streams rather than one-off project loads.</p><h3>The Bajpe–airport–SEZ axis</h3><p>The Mangaluru SEZ at Permude and the smaller estates around Bajpe and Surathkal house chemicals, electronics and a growing cluster of light-engineering units. Packaging demand here skews toward smaller, neater plywood crates and standardised pallets rather than oversized project boxes.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">What we ship</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">The Mangalore material list</h2><p>Across these belts the consolidated material list is fairly tight, and our standard runners cover most of it.</p><h3>Packing-grade commercial plywood</h3><p>This is the workhorse for export crate walls, lids and bottoms. Common thicknesses pulled by Mangalore buyers:</p><table><thead><tr><th>Thickness</th><th>Typical use</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>6 mm and 8 mm</td><td>Crate side panels for light spares, cashew cartons, electronic sub-assemblies</td></tr><tr><td>10 mm and 12 mm</td><td>Standard export crates, lids, partitions, pallet top decks</td></tr><tr><td>15 mm, 16 mm, 18 mm</td><td>Heavy crates for refinery and fertiliser-plant spares, pump bodies, container flooring patches, skid bases</td></tr></tbody></table><p>Standard sheet size is 8' x 4'. Cut-to-size from this stock list is straightforward, and we can pre-cut at the yard if the buyer shares a cutting plan with the PO.</p><h3>Okoume face veneer for premium export crates</h3><p>Okoume is a lighter, cleaner-faced veneer option on our packing and BWR grades, used where the crate has to look presentable on arrival — typically engineering exports going into the Gulf or Southeast Asia, and high-value spares for buyers who audit their inbound packaging. It is not a replacement for commercial packing grade; it is a separate decision (see the rules below).</p><h3>Crates, cases and pallets</h3><p>For buyers who want a finished crate rather than sheet stock, we manufacture fully assembled wooden cases and pallets built to dimension. Standard pallet footprints we run are 1200 x 1000 mm and 1200 x 800 mm; both can be supplied heat-treated and IPPC-stamped where the destination requires it. Crate construction uses sawn pine or hardwood framing with packing-grade plywood skins, screwed and stapled per the load class.</p><h3>Container flooring and reinforcement boards</h3><p>For project-cargo and oversize loads moving out of NMPT, 18 mm packing-grade or marine-grade plywood is used as supplementary container floor protection and as load-spreading boards under heavy point loads. We ship this either as full sheets or pre-cut to the container internal dimensions.</p><h3>Shuttering ply</h3><p>The Mangalore region's construction belt — port infrastructure work, NH-66 widening, beachfront hospitality projects and SEZ build-out — also pulls film-faced shuttering plywood in 12 mm and 18 mm. This is a separate product from packing grade and is specified by face film and reuse cycles.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Logistics</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">The Kochi-to-Mangalore lane</h2><p>The route is NH-66 the whole way: Kochi – Thrissur – Kozhikode – Kannur – Kasaragod – Mangaluru. Distance is roughly 270 km from our Perumbavoor yard, and a truck dispatched in the evening typically clears the Karnataka border by early morning and reaches a Baikampady gate the same day. We work with established Kerala–Karnataka trucking operators on this lane, so backhaul economics keep freight reasonable on full-truckload orders. Mixed loads with other Karnataka-bound consignees are possible for part-load buyers, though lead time stretches.</p><table><thead><tr><th>Leg</th><th>Detail</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Origin</td><td>Perumbavoor yard, Kochi / Ernakulam</td></tr><tr><td>Route</td><td>NH-66 via Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod</td></tr><tr><td>Distance</td><td>~270 km to the Baikampady–Bajpe belt</td></tr><tr><td>Transit</td><td>7–9 hours in normal conditions; evening dispatch lands next morning</td></tr><tr><td>Mode</td><td>Full-truckload road default; part-load consolidation on request</td></tr></tbody></table><p>For buyers who prefer rail-linked freight via Mangaluru Junction or coastal movement, we can quote ex-yard Perumbavoor and let the buyer's forwarder handle onward movement. In practice, road on NH-66 is the default because transit is short enough that the extra handling rarely pays off. Where the destination country requires IPPC-compliant heat-treated wood, pallets and crate framing are built to ISPM-15 with the appropriate stamp.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Choosing a grade</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Which grade for which load</h2><p>A simple way to think about the grade choice for Mangalore-bound packaging.</p><ul><li><strong>Commercial packing-grade plywood</strong> — when the crate is for general export, the load is mechanical or hardware, the box will be opened and disposed of at destination, and cost matters. This is roughly 80 percent of what flows out of Baikampady.</li><li><strong>Okoume-faced plywood</strong> — when the consignee is a premium buyer (especially in the Gulf), when the crate exterior is visible at delivery, when weight reduction matters for air freight, or when the crate may be photographed for QA records.</li><li><strong>Marine or BWR-bonded plywood</strong> — for fishing-vessel work, for crates that will sit on a deck or open quay before stuffing, and for container floor reinforcement on monsoon-window shipments.</li><li><strong>Shuttering ply</strong> — only for concrete formwork. It is film-faced and not meant for crate construction; mixing the two on a PO causes confusion at site.</li></ul></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">FAQ</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Common questions from Mangalore buyers</h2><h3>Do you supply ISPM-15 stamped pallets and crates?</h3><p>Yes. Where the destination country requires IPPC-compliant heat-treated wood, we supply pallets and crate framing built to ISPM-15 with the appropriate stamp. Confirm the destination requirement on the PO so we route the order to the correct framing line.</p><h3>What is the minimum order quantity from Kochi to Mangalore?</h3><p>Full-truckload economics work best — typically 400 to 600 sheets of plywood depending on thickness, or an equivalent mix of crates and pallets. We do quote part-loads for smaller buyers, but freight per sheet rises and transit time can stretch while we consolidate.</p><h3>Can you cut sheets to size before dispatch?</h3><p>Yes. Share the cutting plan with the PO and we will pre-cut at the yard. This saves the buyer's carpentry time at the crate-assembly stage and reduces wastage on the Mangalore end.</p></div>

Both push finished goods out of Davangere on trucks, and a fair share of that cargo travels in wooden boxes, on wooden pallets, or inside containers laid with plywood flooring. That is where a Kochi-based packing-grade plywood supply starts to make economic sense for Davangere buyers.</p><p>Historically the cotton-textile capital of Karnataka, Davangere's manufacturing spine runs through the Bapuji Industrial Estate inside city limits, the KSSIDC industrial area at Lokikere Road, the Karur and Anagodu cluster on the Harihar side, and the larger KIADB belts at Harihar and Haralapura. Around the edges, the Davangere–Harihar corridor on NH-48 carries a dense run of cotton mills, ginning units, oil mills, foundries and agri-equipment fabricators.</p><p>The plywood demand that flows out of this belt is fairly predictable:</p><ul><li><strong>Textile machinery and spares</strong> — ring frames, autoconers, looms and their replacement parts move in heavy wooden crates, often inter-state, and need square, dense ply that holds nails without splitting.</li><li><strong>Agri-equipment and pump-set packing</strong> — irrigation pumps, sprayer assemblies, threshers and tractor spares are crated for dealer dispatch across South and Central India.</li><li><strong>Cotton bales and yarn cartons on pallets</strong> — finished yarn, processed cotton and ginned lint move on wooden pallets to mills, ports and inland warehouses.</li><li><strong>Foundry castings and engineered components</strong> — the city's long-standing foundry cluster needs heavy-duty box bottoms and skidded crates for iron castings.</li><li><strong>Export-bound agri-processed goods</strong> — areca-nut, maize products and processed grains routed via the Karnataka and Andhra ports, where compliant crating becomes a factor.</li></ul><p>The common thread: durable, predictable, fairly thick ply in 6 mm to 18 mm with consistent quality across truckloads. Not retail-counter ply.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">What we ship</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">The Davangere stack, built to spec</h2><p>We manufacture our packing range in Perumbavoor and supply pan-India out of our own facilities. For Davangere, the typical stack is as follows.</p><h3>Packing-grade plywood (the workhorse)</h3><p>Commercial / rubberwood packing-grade ply is what most Davangere crate-makers and pallet shops actually need. It is engineered for nail-holding strength, dimensional stability and a consistent thickness — not for furniture polish. We ship it in standard 8' x 4' sheets across the packing thickness range:</p><table><thead><tr><th>Thickness</th><th>Common use in Davangere</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>6 mm</td><td>Light cartons, partitions, top covers</td></tr><tr><td>8 mm</td><td>Side panels of textile-spare boxes</td></tr><tr><td>10–12 mm</td><td>Pallet decks, medium crate walls</td></tr><tr><td>14–16 mm</td><td>Heavy machinery crates, foundry boxes</td></tr><tr><td>18 mm</td><td>Container flooring, heavy base boards</td></tr></tbody></table><p>Loads ship full truck out of Kerala with a clean GST invoice; cut-to-size is possible for repeat crate dimensions.</p><h3>Wooden crates and packing cases</h3><p>For buyers who would rather receive finished crates than build them in-house, we also supply fabricated boxes — closed, slatted, or skidded — built around the customer's product drawing. Typical Davangere builds: 1.2 m x 0.8 m x 1.0 m machinery crates with 12 mm walls and runner skids, or larger 2.0 m boxes for full ring-frame assemblies.</p><h3>Pallets</h3><p>Standard four-way entry pallets in 1200 x 1000 mm and 1200 x 800 mm (Euro), plus custom footprints for cotton-bale stacking, are built from sawn-timber decks or plywood tops with hardwood runners.</p><h3>Container flooring and base boards</h3><p>18 mm packing ply in 8' x 4' sheets is the common floor liner for ODC and break-bulk container loads moving from inland Davangere down to Mangaluru or across to Chennai. It protects the container metal floor and gives forklifts a clean working surface.</p><h3>Okoume face-veneer option</h3><p>Okoume is a premium export-grade face veneer we offer on the packing and BWR grades. For most Davangere domestic packing it is overkill. It earns its price when the buyer is shipping high-value finished goods — engineered textile machinery for export, precision spares, electronics — where surface finish, light weight and long sea-freight life matter.</p><h3>Shuttering plywood and sawn timber</h3><p>Film-faced shuttering ply for the construction trade and rough sawn timber for runners and skids round out the supply.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Logistics</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Kochi to Davangere, lane and paperwork</h2><p>The road distance from Kochi/Ernakulam to Davangere is roughly <strong>580–620 km</strong>, depending on whether the truck routes via Salem–Bengaluru on NH-44/NH-48 or via Mysuru on NH-766 and NH-275. The cleaner heavy-truck lane is the Salem–Bengaluru–Tumakuru–Chitradurga–Davangere run on NH-48, the standard six-lane corridor.</p><ul><li><strong>Transit time:</strong> a fully loaded part-load or full truck typically reaches Davangere in 24–36 hours from dispatch, weather and check-posts permitting.</li><li><strong>Truck type:</strong> 32-ft single-axle or 22-ft container trucks are the practical sizes; the 32-ft handles a full pallet/crate load comfortably with room for top-stacked ply sheets.</li><li><strong>Documentation:</strong> an e-way bill from Kerala (origin) to Karnataka (destination) is standard; GST is charged as IGST since it is an inter-state movement.</li><li><strong>Port option:</strong> for the rare buyer who would rather receive at a Karnataka port, Mangaluru is the closer one (~250 km from Davangere). Most Davangere buyers find direct road from Kochi simpler and cheaper than the port detour.</li><li><strong>Export crating:</strong> for sea-freight consignments we build to ISPM-15 with heat-treated, IPPC-stamped softwood frames, so the box clears phytosanitary inspection at the port.</li></ul></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Choosing a grade</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Which grade for which Davangere load</h2><p>A practical shortlist we walk every new Davangere buyer through before quoting:</p><ul><li><strong>Domestic crate for a textile machine or agri pump</strong> → commercial packing ply, 12–16 mm walls, 18 mm base. Don't pay for Okoume.</li><li><strong>Pallet for cotton bales or yarn cartons</strong> → 12 mm packing-ply deck on hardwood runners, or full sawn-timber deck. Pick by weight and re-use cycle.</li><li><strong>Container floor liner for an ODC load to a port</strong> → 18 mm packing ply, full 8' x 4' sheets, laid edge-to-edge.</li><li><strong>Export crate for engineered textile machinery</strong> → Okoume face veneer if the customer specifies a clean export look, on an ISPM-15 heat-treated softwood frame with the IPPC stamp.</li><li><strong>Shuttering for a Davangere construction site</strong> → film-faced shuttering ply, separate price list, ordered by the repetition count needed.</li></ul><p>When in doubt, share the product dimensions, gross weight, dispatch mode (truck vs container vs port) and monthly off-take. We will revert with a thickness recommendation and a price per sheet or per finished crate.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">FAQ</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Common questions from Davangere buyers</h2><h3>What is the minimum order to Davangere?</h3><p>Practical minimum is a part-load of about 8–10 tonnes (roughly 250–300 sheets of mid-thickness packing ply, or a mixed crate-and-pallet consignment). Smaller trial orders are possible, but freight per sheet becomes uneconomical below that range.</p><h3>Can you cut sheets to crate sizes before dispatch?</h3><p>Yes. Repeat crate orders are usually cheaper to cut at our end and ship as a kit — the buyer saves on local cutting labour and waste. Share the BOM with grain direction and we will quote both ways.</p><h3>Do you offer a GST credit invoice and e-way bill?</h3><p>Every consignment ships with a proforma upfront, a tax invoice on dispatch (IGST for Karnataka), and a Kerala-to-Karnataka e-way bill. No cash, no kachcha bills.</p></div>

IT hardware moves out of Hebbal, coffee leaves for Europe via Chennai and Mangalore ports, and light engineering ships from the KIADB industrial estates. Each of those flows ends in a wooden box, a crate or a pallet. The specification changes meaningfully depending on which belt you sit in.</p><h3>Hebbal Industrial Area and the IT corridor</h3><p>Hebbal anchors the city's IT hardware, electronics manufacturing and back-office infrastructure. Large software and services campuses dominate, but the spillover into hardware assembly, server-rack manufacture and electronic sub-assembly creates a constant pull on close-tolerance crates: boxes where the plywood face has to take printing, the corners have to survive multi-modal handling, and moisture migration during a monsoon transit is a real concern.</p><h3>Belagola, Metagalli and Hootagalli</h3><p>These older KIADB estates carry the city's light and medium engineering load: pumps, electrical switchgear, auto components and machine-tool sub-assemblies. Crates here are heavier, often above 500 kg gross, and the spec sheet is dominated by ISPM-15 stamps for export and heat-treatment compliance for domestic rail movement.</p><h3>Coffee and agri-export cluster</h3><p>Mysuru is a national centre for coffee processing and roasting, supplied by the Kodagu and Chikkamagaluru estates upstream. Bulk coffee — green bean in jute bags, instant coffee in steel drums, specialty roasts in cartons — moves out in containerised loads that need either solid wooden pallets or composite plywood-deck pallets to keep cargo off the container floor through humid sea voyages.</p><h3>Aerospace SEZ and the upcoming corridor</h3><p>The aerospace SEZ and the proposed Mysuru-Bengaluru expressway expansion are pulling in precision-engineering tenants. These buyers tend to want premium veneer faces, tighter dimensional tolerance and traceability on the plywood — a different conversation from the volume packing-case market.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">What we ship</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Four product families do most of the Mysuru work</h2><p>We manufacture through our own facilities under CWI specifications, with group operations running in Perumbavoor since 1986. For the Mysuru lane, four product families carry most of the volume.</p><h3>Packing-grade plywood (the workhorse)</h3><p>Our MR-Packing grade is the default for box and crate manufacturers across Karnataka. Standard panel: 8 ft x 4 ft, thicknesses from 6 mm to 18 mm. The most common pulls into Mysuru:</p><table><thead><tr><th>Thickness</th><th>Typical Mysuru use</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>6 mm &amp; 8 mm</td><td>Inner partitions, lids and lightweight cartons</td></tr><tr><td>10 mm &amp; 12 mm</td><td>General-purpose export boxes up to ~300 kg gross</td></tr><tr><td>16 mm &amp; 18 mm</td><td>Heavy engineering crates, machinery skids and pallet decks</td></tr></tbody></table><p>The glue line is phenolic-bonded for the BWR variant where moisture or sea transit is in the picture. Face veneers are typically commercial hardwood; Okoume and Gurjan faces are available as options on the same MR-Packing and BWR cores when you need a cleaner printing surface or improved cosmetic finish.</p><h3>Assembled crates and packing cases</h3><p>For exporters who would rather receive a finished crate than build one in-house, we ship knocked-down (KD) or fully-assembled cases cut to internal-dimension drawings. ISPM-15 heat-treatment marking and fumigation are coordinated for export-bound consignments.</p><h3>Wooden pallets</h3><p>Two-way and four-way entry pallets in standard footprints — 1200 x 1000 mm and 1200 x 800 mm being the most-asked — with plywood-deck or sawn-timber-deck options. Pallet thickness and deck-board specification are matched to the load: 12 mm plywood deck for ~500 kg static loads, stepping up to 18 mm or solid timber for the 1-tonne-plus engineering crates.</p><h3>Container flooring plywood</h3><p>For the freight-forwarding and container-refurbishment trade, 28 mm IICL-spec container flooring sheets in 2400 x 1160 mm and similar formats are available on indent.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Logistics</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">The Kochi-to-Mysuru lane</h2><p>This is where a Kerala-based manufacturer holds a real, defensible cost advantage over a North Indian source.</p><table><thead><tr><th>Parameter</th><th>Detail</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Distance</td><td>Approximately 480 km via NH-766 (Kochi - Walayar - Coimbatore - Mysuru)</td></tr><tr><td>Transit time</td><td>11-13 hours for a standard truck under normal conditions</td></tr><tr><td>Typical truck</td><td>20 ft and 22 ft open-body trucks; 32 ft multi-axle for full loads</td></tr><tr><td>Loadability</td><td>~800-1000 sheets of 12 mm in a 32 ft trailer, depending on packing</td></tr><tr><td>Cut-off for next-day arrival</td><td>Despatch by ~14:00 from Perumbavoor</td></tr></tbody></table><p>Because the trucking lane runs through a single ghat (Walayar) and re-enters Karnataka at the Bandipur edge, there is no interstate transhipment penalty. Most Mysuru loads dispatched on a Monday afternoon are unloading at Hebbal or Belagola by Tuesday evening. For comparison, plywood sourced from the North Indian belt typically books 4-6 days of transit and an additional handling event at a Bengaluru transshipment hub.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Choosing a grade</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Which grade for which load</h2><p>The Mysuru order mix is broad enough that a single specification rarely fits. A working decision rule:</p><ul><li><strong>MR-Packing grade</strong> — IT hardware crates, domestic-bound engineering crates, and light-to-medium export boxes where the journey is overland or a short sea leg. This is 70-80 percent of our Mysuru volume.</li><li><strong>BWR (boiling-water-resistant) with an Okoume or Gurjan face</strong> — long-haul sea export to Europe, the GCC and ASEAN; cosmetic crates where the wood grain shows on the finished package; coffee and agri-export loads that sit in humid containers for 3-5 weeks.</li><li><strong>Shuttering ply</strong> — for the Mysuru construction sector, including the expressway projects and commercial real estate around the ring road. Film-faced shuttering plywood in 12 mm and 18 mm is the volume call.</li></ul><p>If you are unsure, share the gross weight, the dispatch destination and the mode of transport, and we will reverse-engineer the lightest specification that still survives the journey. There is no commercial reason to over-engineer a domestic box with marine-grade plywood, and we will say so.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">FAQ</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Common questions from Mysuru buyers</h2><h3>Do you have a depot in Mysuru?</h3><p>No, and that is a deliberate cost decision. We dispatch direct from our Perumbavoor manufacturing belt on a confirmed-order basis, which keeps overhead out of the per-sheet price. For repeat buyers we maintain a rolling production slot so lead time stays under a week.</p><h3>What is the minimum order quantity?</h3><p>For sheet plywood, we prefer to dispatch part-loads of 200 sheets and above to keep freight efficient; smaller orders are possible but the per-sheet landed cost climbs. For assembled crates and pallets, the minimum is typically one full truckload to make the dispatch viable.</p><h3>Can you handle ISPM-15 stamping and export documentation?</h3><p>Yes. Heat-treatment, fumigation and the IPPC mark are coordinated for export-bound consignments. Share the destination country and the consignee's wood-packaging requirements and we will build the specification accordingly.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Get a quote</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">A Mysuru-specific quote</h2><p>If you are sourcing packing plywood, crates, pallets or container flooring into the Mysuru belt — Hebbal, Belagola, Metagalli, Hootagalli, or the coffee and aerospace clusters — the fastest route is to <a href="/contact">request a quote</a> with your thickness, monthly volume and dispatch destination. Every casting that leaves a Belgaum foundry rides on something, and every aerospace machined part bound for an inland assembly line or an export consignee needs a heat-treated crate to clear the dock. That is the wood-and-plywood demand pattern we manufacture for.</p><p>The packaging demand does not come from one estate, it comes from a belt. Knowing the belt helps us right-size the trucks and the dispatch frequency.</p><ul><li><strong>Udyambag and Machhe industrial areas</strong> — the historic foundry heartland. Grey iron, SG iron and alloy steel castings. Heavy unit weights, irregular geometry, machined faces that mark easily. This is where most of our packing-grade plywood and dense hardwood runners go.</li><li><strong>KIADB Auto Park, Halaga</strong> — newer tier-1 and tier-2 auto-component manufacturers. A mix of castings, forgings and machined assemblies. Cleaner packing standard, more pallet-and-box than open crate.</li><li><strong>The Kanagala aerospace SEZ</strong> — precision machining, sheet metal and surface treatment, export-heavy. The heat-treated stamp is non-negotiable here, and the cosmetic standard on the crate is higher because end-consignees inspect.</li><li><strong>Honaga and Kakati MIDC-adjacent units</strong> — pumps, valves and hydraulics. Mid-weight castings on recurring monthly volume, ideal for a standing pallet-and-cap programme rather than one-off crates.</li><li><strong>Sambra and the airport-adjacent cluster</strong> — emerging aero MRO and defence-linked work, smaller volumes but tight quality specs.</li></ul><p>Across these belts the dominant wood-packaging needs collapse to four things: packing-grade plywood sheets for box panels, hardwood runners and battens for skids, ready-made export crates, and container-flooring plywood for trailers and shipping containers being refurbished in the region.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">What we ship</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Sheets, crates, pallets and container flooring</h2><h3>Packing-grade plywood — sheet specs</h3><p>Our packing range is built around hardwood and rubberwood cores in MR (moisture-resistant) bonding, designed for box and case panels that must hold a heavy casting without splitting along the edge nail line. Standard sizes are 8x4 ft and 7x4 ft. Thicknesses commonly pulled by Belagavi buyers:</p><table><thead><tr><th>Thickness</th><th>Typical use in Belagavi</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>6 mm</td><td>Lid panels on light pump-housing boxes</td></tr><tr><td>8 mm</td><td>Side panels for medium auto-component cases</td></tr><tr><td>12 mm</td><td>Base and side panels for foundry castings up to ~500 kg</td></tr><tr><td>16-18 mm</td><td>Heavy crate bases, container-flooring patches, base of aerospace export crates</td></tr></tbody></table><p>Face veneer can be specified as commercial hardwood for cost-driven domestic packing, or Okoume for export work where the buyer wants a cleaner outer face and lighter sheet weight. Okoume is a face-veneer option on our packing and BWR grades, not a separate grade.</p><h3>Crates — export and domestic</h3><p>For export shipments out of Belagavi, which mostly route through Nhava Sheva (JNPT) or the nearest air gateway, the crate must be built from heat-treated wood and carry the ISPM-15 mark with the IPPC logo, country code, treatment-provider code and treatment code. We manufacture both:</p><ul><li><strong>Closed crates</strong> — fully boarded plywood faces over a hardwood frame, used for aerospace components, precision machined parts and anything where dust and rough handling damage the load.</li><li><strong>Open crates and skid-and-cap</strong> — hardwood frame with strategic plywood panels, used for foundry castings where weight is high but cosmetic protection matters less.</li></ul><p>Cleat thickness, runner cross-section and lag-bolt pattern are sized to the actual unit weight. We ask for the load weight, dimensions and lifting method (forklift, crane sling, both) before quoting.</p><h3>Pallets</h3><p>The two pallet footprints we ship most into the KIADB and Kanagala side of Belagavi:</p><ul><li><strong>1200 x 1000 mm</strong> — the de-facto Asian export pallet, fitting standard 20 ft and 40 ft containers efficiently for two-rows-wide loading.</li><li><strong>1200 x 800 mm</strong> — Euro pallet, asked for when the consignee sits in an EU automotive supply chain.</li></ul><p>Four-way entry, double-deck, with hardwood top and bottom boards and ISPM-15 treated stringers for export. For repeated indoor use inside a KIADB plant we often supply non-treated rubberwood pallets at a lower price point.</p><h3>Container-flooring plywood</h3><p>A smaller but recurring line into Belagavi is 28 mm container-flooring plywood, a heavy-duty multi-ply hardwood board used to repair shipping-container floors and to line trailer beds for foundry haulage. We supply in standard 2400 x 1160 mm sheets or cut to floor pattern on request.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Logistics</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">The Kochi-to-Belgaum lane</h2><p>The lane is roughly 750 km by road from our Perumbavoor and Kochi dispatch yards to Belagavi. The typical route runs NH 66 up the Kerala-Karnataka coast to Karwar, then NH 748 / NH 4A inland through Anmod ghat into Belagavi, with an alternative inland route via Mangaluru and Hubballi when the ghats are weather-affected during monsoon. Transit times we plan against:</p><ul><li><strong>Full-truck-load (FTL), 20 ft / 32 ft trailer</strong> — 48 to 60 hours door-to-door, ex-Kochi to KIADB or Udyambag.</li><li><strong>Part-load through aggregator</strong> — 3 to 5 working days, viable for small crate batches and pallet top-ups.</li><li><strong>Container stuffing at Cochin Port and rail/road to ICD Belagavi</strong> — used when the buyer wants the wood landed under an export-linked GST flow.</li></ul><p>For Belagavi exporters whose finished goods route through JNPT, it is often cleaner for us to manufacture the crate and pallet at our Kerala yard, ship FTL straight to the packing line in Belagavi, and let the consignment move out on the same crate to Nhava Sheva — no double-handling, single ISPM-15 stamp.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Choosing a grade</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Which grade for which Belgaum load</h2><p>A practical rule-of-thumb our packing-line foremen use when a Belagavi buyer asks what they actually need:</p><ol><li><strong>Domestic foundry casting, road movement within India</strong> — commercial hardwood packing-grade plywood, 12 mm sides, 18 mm base, hardwood runners. No need to pay for an Okoume face or heat treatment.</li><li><strong>Aerospace or precision component, export</strong> — Okoume-faced packing-grade plywood or BWR-bonded board on an ISPM-15 heat-treated hardwood frame. Closed crate, screw-fixed not nailed, with desiccant pockets if the consignee specifies.</li><li><strong>Heavy pump or hydraulic assembly, sea export</strong> — 18 mm packing-grade plywood base, hardwood runners with chamfered ends for fork entry, lag-bolted top cap, ISPM-15 stamp.</li><li><strong>Construction-linked shuttering work</strong> at Belagavi infrastructure sites — film-faced shuttering plywood, a separate product line, quoted on dimension and re-use count expectation.</li></ol><p>If the load is borderline, we would rather over-engineer the crate base by one plywood thickness step than under-spec. A failed crate at Anmod ghat is more expensive than the extra 6 mm of board.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">FAQ</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Common questions from Belagavi buyers</h2><h3>Do you stamp ISPM-15 in your own yard?</h3><p>Yes. The crates and pallets we manufacture for export work are heat-treated and carry the IPPC stamp with the registered treatment-provider code. The documentation pack includes the ISPM-15 certificate and the packing-list dimensions and weights.</p><h3>What is the minimum order for delivery to Belagavi?</h3><p>For plywood sheets we typically plan in full-truck-load units to keep freight economics sensible over the 750 km lane. For crates and pallets, smaller batches can ride on a part-load or piggyback on a sheet consignment. Talk to us about batch sizing and we will work out the truck plan.</p><h3>Can you match a foundry's existing crate drawing?</h3><p>Yes. Share the existing drawing or even photographs with dimensions, the unit weight, and any lifting points required. We can replicate to your spec or value-engineer the runner pattern if the existing design is over-built.</p></div>
