Each of those verticals ships finished goods in wooden packaging, and each has different tolerances for moisture, drop-shock and export compliance. The district's manufacturing footprint is concentrated across a handful of well-defined estates, each with a distinct packaging profile.</p><ul><li><strong>Industrial Area Phase 1, 2, 7, 8, 8B and 9</strong> — the original PSIEC estates running along the Chandigarh-Ludhiana corridor. Heavy on auto-component machining, sheet-metal fabrication and electrical switchgear. Crates here are often heavy, irregular and built to ride the road network down to Mundra or JNPT.</li><li><strong>Sectors 82, 83 and 91 (IT City and Quark City)</strong> — IT campuses, data-centre kit and networking hardware. Lighter loads, but exporters here are strict on the look of the packaging and on export stamping for international shipments.</li><li><strong>Sectors 75, 80, 81 and 82 industrial belt</strong> — mixed engineering, food processing and a growing pharma packaging cluster feeding the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh (BBN) belt just across the Himachal border.</li><li><strong>Derabassi-Lalru belt</strong> — pharma APIs, agro-chemicals and tractor-component vendors. Crate volumes here are recurring and the spec list is short: boxes, pallets and container liners.</li></ul><p>Add the large two-wheeler plant at the Phase 1 entry, the tractor CKD packing demand pulled in by the region's tractor makers and their vendor base, and you get a fairly steady monthly draw on packing plywood across thicknesses from 8 mm up to 18 mm.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">What we ship</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Sheets, crates and container flooring</h2><p>Three product families cover almost every Mohali requirement we see.</p><h3>Packing-grade plywood sheets</h3><p>This is our core product for crate builders and in-house packing departments. We manufacture it on a hardwood core (rubberwood or jackwood), MR-grade phenolic-bonded, finished in standard 8x4 ft sheets. Most Mohali buyers pull from a narrow band of thicknesses.</p><table><thead><tr><th>Thickness</th><th>Typical use in Mohali loads</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>8 mm</td><td>Light IT hardware boxes, switchgear lids, internal partitions</td></tr><tr><td>10–12 mm</td><td>Standard crate sides and tops for auto components, pharma export cases</td></tr><tr><td>15–18 mm</td><td>Crate bases, heavy machinery boxes, tractor CKD bottoms, container floors</td></tr></tbody></table><p>We can run an Okoume face-veneer option on the same MR-Packing core when the export customer wants a cleaner look, common for European-bound pharma and IT shipments. Okoume is a face choice on our packing or BWR grade, not a separate grade. Ask if your buyer is specifying it by name.</p><h3>Ready crates and boxes</h3><p>For factories that don't want to run their own carpentry shed, we build complete crates to drawing — pinewood frame with packing-ply panels, optionally heat-treated to ISPM-15 with the IPPC mark for export. Typical Mohali jobs include tractor CKD crates (1.2 to 1.5 cubic metres each), engine-and-gearbox boxes for two-wheeler exports, and server-rack crates with internal foam dunnage. We can ship knocked-down (KD) bundles for the buyer to assemble on site if road volume is the bottleneck.</p><h3>Pallets and container flooring</h3><p>Standard Indian export pallets — 1200 x 1000 mm and 1200 x 800 mm Euro — in heat-treated pinewood, with a 12 mm packing-ply top deck where the load needs a continuous surface (sacks, drums, IBC bottoms). For container-stuffing operations at the rail nodes serving Mohali, 28 mm shuttering-grade ply works as a single-use container floor liner under wheeled cargo or sharp-edged machinery, cheaper than rebuilding the steel floor after each tractor or generator shipment.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Logistics</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Kochi to Mohali, by road or rail</h2><p>The route is roughly 2,400 km by road. There are two practical options.</p><ol><li><strong>Direct trucking</strong> — multi-axle 32-footer or container truck from Ernakulam via Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nagpur and Delhi to Mohali. Transit is usually 6 to 8 days. Best for full-truck orders (one container of plywood is roughly 500 to 600 sheets of 18 mm, or 900+ sheets of 8 mm depending on density). FOR (freight-on-receiver) and FOB Cochin terms are both available; we typically advise FOR for first-time Mohali buyers so the rate lands clean at their gate.</li><li><strong>Containerised rail via Cochin Port (Vallarpadam ICD) to Ludhiana or the Dadri ICD</strong> — this works for export-bound crates and pallets that are already going into a sealed box, and for buyers in the BBN belt where rail to Ludhiana is the natural unload point. It is slower (10 to 14 days door-to-door) but takes the diesel exposure off the table.</li></ol><p>For ready crates and pallets, road wins almost every time — the volumetric weight of empty crates makes rail uneconomic unless you are consolidating with sheet stock.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Choosing a grade</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Which grade for which Mohali load</h2><p>A quick decision rule we run when scoping a Mohali enquiry:</p><ul><li><strong>Domestic crates, road transit, dry storage</strong> — MR-grade packing plywood, 12 mm sides, 15 mm base. Lowest landed cost per crate.</li><li><strong>Export crates, sea transit, monsoon-season stuffing</strong> — same construction but BWR-grade (boiling-water resistant) panels and full ISPM-15 heat-treated frames. The premium over MR is small versus the cost of a rejection at the destination port.</li><li><strong>Visible-face exports (pharma, IT, premium auto)</strong> — packing or BWR core with an Okoume face veneer. The finish is cleaner and the buyer's QC team stops asking questions about the timber.</li><li><strong>Container flooring, ramp boards, jigs</strong> — 28 mm film-faced shuttering ply. Single-shipment use, then either resold as scrap or re-used in the factory as work-table tops.</li></ul></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">FAQ</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Common questions from Mohali buyers</h2><h3>Do you supply ISPM-15 heat-treated crates with IPPC stamp?</h3><p>Yes. Our pinewood frames are heat-treated at registered facilities and stamped with the IPPC mark and the treatment provider code. The packing plywood panels themselves don't require treatment under ISPM-15 (processed wood is exempt), but the framing timber does, and we handle that end-to-end so the export documentation is clean.</p><h3>Can you hold buffer stock in or near Mohali?</h3><p>For monthly off-takes above roughly 20,000 sq ft of sheet equivalent, yes. We work with stocking partners in the Ludhiana-Mohali belt to keep 30 to 45 days of cover so urgent draws don't wait on a Kochi truck. Below that volume, scheduled monthly trucks usually beat the warehousing cost.</p><h3>What's the minimum order for a first trial?</h3><p>For sheets, one truck (roughly 18 to 22 tonnes depending on thickness mix) is the practical minimum to keep per-sqft freight reasonable to Mohali. For ready crates, we'll quote from 20 crates upwards. Smaller trial volumes are possible by consolidating with another north-India lane, but lead time stretches.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Get a quote</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Send us your spec list</h2><p>Send the thickness and quantity for sheets, or the drawing and monthly run-rate for crates and pallets. We'll come back with a delivered-Mohali rate, transit estimate and grade recommendation in one quote. It splits across at least four belts, each with its own packing logic. Every flow ends the same way at the warehouse door: goods leave Ludhiana in a wooden crate, on a wooden pallet, or inside a container with a plywood floor that can take a forklift. That is where our operation fits in, even at a 2,400 km distance. Plywood is light per cubic foot, the truck lane from Kerala into Punjab is mature, and the volumes Ludhiana exporters move justify a planned-supply relationship rather than spot buys from the local mandi.</p><h3>Focal Point (Phases I–VIII) — hosiery and woollens</h3><p>Focal Point is the workhorse industrial estate of Ludhiana, running across multiple phases east and south-east of the city. The dominant tenants are hosiery manufacturers, woollen and knitwear units, and the dye-houses and finishing units that support them. Their export packing requirement is specific: light-weight crates and cartons that have to survive container stuffing at ICD Dhandari Kalan or Sahnewal and then a long sea leg through Mundra Port or JNPT. The wood content is usually a plywood lid and base with sawn-timber cleats, or full plywood crates for higher-value woollen garments and made-ups.</p><h3>Industrial Area A, B and Gill Road — bicycle and bicycle parts</h3><p>Ludhiana's bicycle cluster is internationally known. CKD (Completely Knocked Down) bicycle exports are the high-volume use case here — frames, forks, rims, hubs and components packed flat into multi-layer crates designed to fit a 20' or 40' container's internal dimensions exactly. This is one of the most plywood-intensive packaging segments in India: a single export order can pull hundreds of crates a week, and consistency of thickness and core quality matters because the crates get re-stacked five and six high during ocean transit.</p><h3>GT Road and Doraha belt — auto components and forgings</h3><p>Auto-component, forging and fastener units, especially toward Doraha and Khanna, ship dense, heavy goods. Their crates need thicker plywood walls, heavier sawn-timber framing and properly nailed bases. They also consume a meaningful volume of pallets — both standard 1200×800 mm Euro and 1200×1000 mm industrial sizes — to handle inbound steel and outbound finished parts on forklifts.</p><h3>Sewing-machine, hand-tools and small machinery</h3><p>Ludhiana still has a strong sewing-machine and hand-tools base. These units typically run smaller export crates with mid-range packing-grade plywood lids and bases, and consume sawn timber for cleats and edge protection.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">What we ship</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Packing-grade ply, crates, pallets and sawn timber</h2><p>Our core line for a city like Ludhiana is packing-grade plywood — not the decorative product you would see in a furniture showroom, but a hardwood-core ply built specifically for crates, cases and pallets. Okoume is offered as a face-veneer option on the packing and BWR grades where lid appearance matters, not as a separate product. The everyday SKUs we move into Punjab look like this:</p><table><thead><tr><th>Product</th><th>Typical thickness</th><th>Typical sheet</th><th>Where it gets used in Ludhiana</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Commercial / Rubberwood packing-grade plywood</td><td>6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18 mm</td><td>8'×4'</td><td>Hosiery &amp; woollen export crates, bicycle CKD crate walls, light auto-component cases</td></tr><tr><td>Okoume-faced packing plywood (premium)</td><td>9, 12, 15, 18 mm</td><td>8'×4'</td><td>High-value woollen made-ups, branded bicycle exports where lid appearance matters</td></tr><tr><td>BWR / shuttering ply</td><td>12, 18 mm</td><td>8'×4'</td><td>Heavy auto-forging crates, reusable returnable crates, container flooring repair</td></tr><tr><td>Sawn timber (hardwood)</td><td>Cut-to-size cleats, runners</td><td>By cft</td><td>Crate framing, pallet stringers, edge protection</td></tr></tbody></table><h3>Crate construction patterns</h3><p>Three patterns cover most of what Ludhiana actually builds: <strong>open crates</strong> with a ply lid, ply base and sawn-timber sides (cheapest, used for non-fragile woollens and knitwear); <strong>closed plywood cases</strong> with 6–9 mm ply on all six faces over a hardwood frame (the bicycle CKD standard); and <strong>heavy nailed crates</strong> with 12–15 mm ply walls and 18 mm bases for forgings and machinery. We manufacture the plywood and sawn timber as raw inputs and can also build crates and pallets to your drawing; where local assembly is preferred, the cut happens at the packer or in-house at the exporter.</p><h3>Pallets and container flooring</h3><p>Pallet demand from Ludhiana is split between the auto-components belt (industrial sizes for forklift handling) and the hosiery belt (lighter pallets for warehouse stacking and stuffing). For container flooring — replacement plywood when an existing ISO container's floor has rotted or the operator wants to convert to a flush plywood floor — 18 mm BWR is the standard call.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Logistics</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">The Kochi-to-Ludhiana lane</h2><p>The lane is mature and we plan around it rather than against it.</p><ul><li><strong>Distance:</strong> roughly 2,400 km by road from Kochi/Ernakulam to Ludhiana.</li><li><strong>Mode:</strong> primarily 32-foot multi-axle trucks, full-truck-load. A standard 32-ft truck takes a useful 8'×4' plywood payload of meaningful volume depending on thickness mix — we plan the loading sheet thickness-by-thickness to maximise it.</li><li><strong>Transit:</strong> 6–8 days door-to-door is the realistic working window, longer in monsoon and during Punjab's harvest-season trucker shortage.</li><li><strong>Route:</strong> Kochi → Bengaluru/Salem belt → Maharashtra → MP → Rajasthan → Punjab. Toll, diesel and detention build the freight component.</li><li><strong>Order economics:</strong> for Ludhiana, full-truck loads make sense; LTL/part-loads from Kerala are slow and unreliable. We typically advise customers to consolidate a month's requirement into one or two trucks.</li></ul><p>For one-way ocean legs out of Ludhiana, our packing-grade plywood and crate timber are produced to support ISPM-15 heat-treatment and fumigation where the exporter's destination requires a phytosanitary mark; we coordinate the treatment line with the order. All rates are quoted <strong>ex-factory; GST and transport extra</strong> — once destination, exact size mix and monthly quantity are confirmed, we build the proforma against an actual lane rate rather than a thumb-rule.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Choosing a grade</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Which grade for which load</h2><h3>Use commercial / rubberwood packing-grade when…</h3><p>The crate is one-way export, the goods are moderately fragile but not delicate (knitwear, woollens, hardware, bicycle CKD without premium branding), and you are buying in volume. This is the workhorse SKU for Ludhiana and covers the majority of Focal Point demand.</p><h3>Choose the Okoume face when…</h3><p>The lid or visible face matters — branded woollens, premium bicycle exports, anything where the buyer at the other end opens the crate in a showroom or distributor warehouse and surface appearance reflects on the brand. An Okoume face is also lighter for the same thickness, which helps when ocean freight is charged by weight.</p><h3>Use BWR / shuttering ply when…</h3><p>Crates will be reused, are exposed to outdoor staging in monsoon, carry forging or heavy-machinery loads, or you are doing container floor replacement. BWR is the moisture-and-load answer; it is not the right call for light hosiery cases where you are paying for performance you do not need.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">FAQ</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Common questions on the Ludhiana lane</h2><h3>What is the minimum order for shipping from Kochi to Ludhiana?</h3><p>Full-truck-load is the economical unit on this lane. Below FTL, freight per sheet rises sharply and transit times stretch unpredictably through transhipment hubs. Most Ludhiana buyers consolidate a 3–4 week requirement into one truck.</p><h3>How are payment and delivery handled at this distance?</h3><p>Typical sequence: WhatsApp or phone qualification (thickness, size, monthly volume, delivery point), proforma invoice from us with ex-factory, transport and GST broken out, advance against PI, dispatch, balance against POD/lorry receipt. Detention at Ludhiana drop-off is on the buyer's account.</p><h3>Do you supply finished crates, or only raw plywood and timber?</h3><p>We manufacture packing-grade plywood and sawn timber, and can build crates and pallets to your drawing. For one-way export volume, many Ludhiana exporters prefer crate assembly at a local fabricator close to the packing line, both for cost and for handling rework; in that case we supply the raw inputs in the exact thickness, size and grade mix the fabricator needs. Crate timber can be supplied ISPM-15 heat-treated where the destination requires it.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Get a quote</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Talk to us about your Ludhiana requirement</h2><p>If your unit sits anywhere in the Focal Point, Industrial Area, GT Road or Doraha belts and you are buying plywood, sawn timber or container flooring material every month, it is worth a 10-minute conversation about lane economics and a planned-supply rate from Kochi. We manufacture in Perumbavoor, where our group has run plywood operations since 1986, and we will ask three things: thickness and size mix, monthly volume, and the exact drop-off point. From there we build a proforma you can compare line-for-line against your current source. <a href="/contact">Request a quote</a> with those three inputs, or browse the <a href="/resources">resource hub</a> for grade-selection notes, crate specs and packing-case literature before you reach out.</p></div>

The Doaba belt is unusual in that three serious export verticals share the same carpenters and packing yards: sports goods, hand-tools and surgical instruments. Each ships in different box sizes, but they all need the same things from a plywood supplier 2,400 km away in Kerala — dimensional stability, a reliable transit time, and a sheet the local crate-makers can nail and band without splitting.</p><h3>Sports goods cluster</h3><p>Focal Point Phase I to VIII, Basti Nau, Industrial Area-A and the units around Mithapur Road carry most of the sports goods manufacturing. Cricket bats, hockey sticks, footballs, boxing equipment, gym hardware and inflatables move out to the UK, Australia, the Gulf and Africa. The packing job is largely export cartons and lightweight crates — flat sheets cut to size, sometimes a die-cut insert.</p><h3>Hand-tools</h3><p>Jalandhar is the single largest export cluster for hand tools sold into Europe and North America. Wrenches, pliers, hammers, garden tools and agricultural implements — the volumes are heavy and the crates need to hold up under stacked sea transit. Focal Point and the Leather Complex Road belt run a lot of this work, plus the smaller yards around Kapurthala Road and Nakodar Road.</p><h3>Surgical instruments</h3><p>Forceps, scalpels, orthopaedic tools and dental instruments — small unit weight but high value, often shipped in nested plywood inner boxes with foam, then crated for the outer. This is precision packing work, and the buyers are unforgiving on moisture, splinters and odour.</p><h3>Adjacent flows</h3><p>Auto-component and tractor-part suppliers along the Phagwara–Jalandhar corridor, leather goods from the Leather Complex, and a growing line of agri-machinery exports all add to the same packing demand. Anything export-bound that needs heat-treated crating eventually sits on a plywood pallet or inside a plywood box.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">What we ship</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">The four product calls from Punjab</h2><p>Orders from Punjab tend to cluster around four product calls. Pricing below is the indicative selling band — ex-factory, GST and freight extra, quoted on confirmation.</p><h3>Packing-grade plywood (commercial / rubberwood)</h3><table><thead><tr><th>Thickness</th><th>Typical use</th><th>Indicative rate (per sq.ft, ex-factory)</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>6 mm</td><td>Light sports goods cartons, dividers</td><td>Rs 24</td></tr><tr><td>8 mm</td><td>Inner boxes, surgical inner packs</td><td>Rs 28</td></tr><tr><td>12 mm</td><td>Standard hand-tools export crate sides and tops</td><td>Rs 33.5</td></tr><tr><td>15–16 mm</td><td>Heavy hand-tools, stacked crate loads</td><td>Rs 39 – 39.5</td></tr><tr><td>18 mm</td><td>Heavy-duty bases, container flooring repairs</td><td>Rs 42</td></tr></tbody></table><h3>Okoume face option</h3><p>For export crates that get visually inspected on arrival — premium surgical kits, branded sports equipment, anything that goes into a Western retail supply chain — an Okoume face veneer on the packing or BWR grade gives a cleaner external finish and lower weight per crate. We quote the Okoume option separately because it tracks African log markets, not the Indian commercial board.</p><h3>Pallets and crate kits</h3><p>Standard despatches into Punjab include 1200 x 1000 mm and 1200 x 800 mm pallets with hardwood runners (jackwood at Rs 400/cft or rubberwood as per size), and pre-cut crate sets where the buyer wants to assemble locally. Container flooring — typically 28 mm marine-pattern board for 20-ft and 40-ft container repairs and one-way export crates — is a recurring line.</p><h3>Sawn timber</h3><p>Jackwood and rubberwood runners go up with the plywood when the buyer's own carpentry is building bespoke crates around heavier machinery or auto components.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Logistics</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Kochi to Jalandhar, road-direct on the Doaba lane</h2><p>The lane is roughly 2,400 km by road. Loaded trucks out of Perumbavoor and the Kochi belt typically run via NH 544 to Salem, NH 44 through the Bangalore–Hyderabad–Nagpur corridor, then up via Jhansi–Agra–Delhi–Ambala–Jalandhar. Realistic transit is 6 to 8 days for a single-driver truck, 4 to 5 days with a relay driver, depending on Punjab entry checkpoint timings.</p><p>For larger orders we run full-truck despatches direct to the buyer's yard in Focal Point or wherever the packing line sits. For smaller mixed loads we consolidate via established Kochi-to-North-India transporters and offload at the Jalandhar transport nagar. Coastal shipping to JNPT with onward road to Jalandhar is an option for very large container-equivalent volumes, but on most lanes road-direct from Kochi wins on cost and headache.</p><p>One operator note: Punjab's entry and weighment formalities are smoother for full-load consignments with clean GST paperwork than for partials, so we usually advise customers to time their indents to fit a full truck rather than three small ones in a month. Export crates built and stuffed in Jalandhar carry the ISPM-15 heat-treatment stamp locally; we supply the IS 710 / IS 303 board and runners that go into them.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Choosing a grade</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Decision rules — packing, Okoume face or shuttering</h2><ul><li><strong>Standard hand-tools and sports goods export crates:</strong> commercial / rubberwood packing grade in 12 mm for sides and 15–16 mm for the base. This is the workhorse for Jalandhar.</li><li><strong>Surgical instruments and premium retail-bound sports goods:</strong> an Okoume face on the outer crate when the brand cares about presentation; commercial packing grade for the inner boxes.</li><li><strong>Heavy machinery, auto-component and agri-equipment crates:</strong> 18 mm packing grade base with jackwood runners; 15 mm packing grade sides.</li><li><strong>Container flooring repairs / one-way export container builds:</strong> 28 mm board on a BWR glue line, often paired with hardwood bearers.</li><li><strong>Shuttering ply:</strong> reserved for Jalandhar's construction and infra buyers, not the packing belt. We despatch it on the same lane, but it is a separate conversation.</li></ul></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">FAQ</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Questions from Jalandhar buyers</h2><h3>What is the minimum order you ship to Punjab?</h3><p>A single full truck, roughly 8 to 10 tonnes of plywood depending on thickness mix. Smaller orders are possible via consolidated transport, but the per-sheet landed cost goes up noticeably, so most regular buyers indent in full-truck lots.</p><h3>How firm are delivery dates from Kochi?</h3><p>For a confirmed indent against a proforma invoice, the truck is loaded within 3 to 5 working days from our dispatch yard, then 6 to 8 days in transit. We share the lorry receipt and driver number on loading; buyers in Focal Point usually plan their packing-line schedule around an 11 to 14 day total window from PI to gate.</p><h3>Do you supply ISPM-15 heat-treated crates?</h3><p>We supply the plywood and the runners; the ISPM-15 heat-treatment stamp is applied by accredited fumigation units at the buyer's location, which is the more practical arrangement for export crates being built and stuffed in Jalandhar itself.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Get a quote</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Send your Jalandhar indent</h2><p>If you are running a packing line in Focal Point, Basti Nau, the Leather Complex Road belt or any of the surrounding industrial estates and want a quote against your specific thickness and quantity, share the indent and we will come back with a delivered cost and the next available loading slot. Add the food-processing units in Verka and Mehta Road, the auto-component vendors feeding the Punjab cluster, and the ICP-Attari overland trade with Afghanistan and Central Asia, and the city becomes one of North India's denser pockets of bulk packing demand.</p><p>Buyers in Amritsar tend to sit in a few well-defined belts. Knowing which belt a consignment is bound for usually tells us the right plywood spec before the buyer has opened a sample.</p><ul><li><strong>East and West Focal Point (Verka, Mehta Road)</strong> — the largest organised industrial estates in the district, anchored by textile processing, ready-made garments, denim, food and beverage units, and auto components. Most export crates for apparel and finished goods originate here.</li><li><strong>Jandiala Guru brassware cluster</strong> — a 200-year-old hand-beaten brass and bell-metal hub. Heavy, awkward, scratch-sensitive utensils that ship to the GCC, the UK and the US in cushioned wooden cases.</li><li><strong>Chheharta and G.T. Road belt</strong> — engineering, hand-tools, agro-machinery and smaller fabricators. Mixed packing requirements, from a 6 mm sheet for a light carton liner up to a 25 mm shuttering board for a foundation pour.</li><li><strong>ICP Attari trade corridor</strong> — dry fruits (almonds, pistachios, raisins, figs), spices and cement crossing into and out of Afghanistan. Wooden cases here see rough handling across two borders and Punjab winters.</li><li><strong>Rajasansi airport cargo and the Amritsar–Delhi freight lane</strong> — feeders for air-freight crates and high-value consolidations heading to the IGI cargo terminal.</li></ul><p>The common thread is bulk, cost-sensitive packaging that still has to survive a 1,500 km road run, a sea container or an air-cargo handover. That is the brief our packing-grade plywood is built for.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">What we ship</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Sheets, crates, pallets and flooring from one operation</h2><h3>Packing-grade plywood — the workhorse</h3><p>The bulk of Amritsar's order book is commercial / rubberwood plywood in standard 8 ft x 4 ft sheets across the packing-grade thickness range — 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 18 mm. The 12 mm and 18 mm sheets do most of the heavy lifting (case walls, lids, base boards). 6 mm and 8 mm go into liners, dividers and internal cushioning for brassware and dry-fruit cartons. Thicker 18 mm and 25 mm boards build the skids and base frames that take the forklift load.</p><h3>Made-up crates and packing cases</h3><p>For the textile and apparel exporters in the Focal Point, and for the brassware shippers in Jandiala Guru, we manufacture finished crates cut and pre-assembled to drawing — open-top, closed, slotted, or two-piece with screwed lids. Typical specs that move:</p><ul><li>Garment export cases — 18 mm walls, 12 mm internal partitions, 25 mm skid base, three-runner bottom.</li><li>Brassware crates — 18 mm panels with 8 mm internal lining for scratch protection, corner-block reinforcement.</li><li>Dry-fruit and spice cases — heat-treated to ISPM-15, lower thickness (12–15 mm) where load allows, stencilled with the IPPC mark.</li></ul><h3>Pallets — ISPM-15 stamped</h3><p>The standard four-way-entry 1200 x 1000 mm and 1200 x 800 mm Euro footprints move regularly, alongside custom sizes for awkward brassware and machinery loads. All export pallets are heat-treated and IPPC-stamped at a registered facility so Attari and JNPT clear them without query.</p><h3>Container flooring and shuttering ply</h3><p>For the auto-component and machinery shippers loading 20 ft and 40 ft containers out of ICD Dhandari Kalan and ICD Ludhiana, we supply 28 mm container-flooring plywood. The agro and infra builders along G.T. Road buy our BWR shuttering plywood for slab and column work, where re-use cycles matter more than finish.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Logistics</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Kochi to Amritsar, up the western corridor</h2><p>The lane runs roughly 2,500 km by road — Kochi up through Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Udaipur and Delhi into Amritsar. A standard 32 ft single-axle or multi-axle trailer takes 6–8 days door-to-door depending on the season and the driver's run. We aggregate sheet orders into full-truck loads of roughly 18–22 tonnes (around 800–1,000 sheets of 18 mm equivalent), the cost-efficient lot size for the lane. Smaller orders go part-load through scheduled freight movers running the Kochi–Delhi–Amritsar leg, with 10–14 day transit. Both options land at the buyer's gate with sealed-truck delivery and a single LR for reconciliation.</p><p>For larger or recurring buyers, we can quote ex-Cochin port (FOB) and route via coastal feeder to Mundra Port, then road into Amritsar — the maths sometimes favours this for 40 ft container loads of finished crates and pallets. Export pallets and crates ship heat-treated and IPPC-stamped, with the treatment certificate travelling alongside the LR so the documentation closes at dispatch.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">Choosing a grade</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Which spec for which job</h2><table><thead><tr><th>Amritsar use case</th><th>Recommended spec</th><th>Why</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Garment / denim export crates</td><td>Packing-grade commercial ply, 12 mm walls, 18 mm base</td><td>Cost-efficient, dimensionally stable for stacked sea-freight loads.</td></tr><tr><td>Brassware export cases</td><td>Packing-grade 18 mm + 8 mm liner, ISPM-15 treated</td><td>Scratch protection on soft brass surfaces; border-compliant.</td></tr><tr><td>Dry-fruit cases via ICP Attari</td><td>12–15 mm packing-grade, IPPC stamped</td><td>Lighter case weight where load is moderate; treated for overland border movement.</td></tr><tr><td>Auto-component / machinery export</td><td>18 mm packing ply with Okoume face for premium finish</td><td>An Okoume face panel gives a cleaner look for end-customer-facing crates without the cost of full Okoume construction.</td></tr><tr><td>Container flooring</td><td>28 mm container-flooring plywood</td><td>Load rating for forklift traffic inside the box.</td></tr><tr><td>Site shuttering — infra and real-estate</td><td>BWR shuttering plywood, 12 mm</td><td>Multiple-pour re-use; resists Punjab monsoon damp.</td></tr></tbody></table><p>Where a buyer is unsure, our default position is simple: order packing-grade for case walls and bases, and add an Okoume face only where the crate is end-customer visible or the importer specifies a premium finish. Okoume here is a face-veneer option on the packing and BWR grades, not a separate grade.</p></div>
<div class="cwp__container"><p class="cwp__eyebrow">FAQ</p><h2 class="cwp__h2">Common questions from Amritsar buyers</h2><h3>Do you supply heat-treated, IPPC-stamped pallets for Attari and JNPT clearance?</h3><p>Yes. All export pallets and crates can be heat-treated at a registered facility and stencilled with the IPPC mark to ISPM-15. We send the treatment certificate with the LR so the export documentation is closed at dispatch.</p><h3>What is the minimum order size you can ship to Amritsar?</h3><p>Full truck loads (around 800–1,000 sheets of 18 mm equivalent, or the equivalent in made-up crates and pallets) are the most cost-efficient. Smaller part-load consignments are possible through scheduled freight movers — transit stretches to 10–14 days and per-sheet freight goes up, but it is workable for trial orders.</p><h3>Can you cut crates to drawing, or do you only ship sheets?</h3><p>Both. We ship raw sheets to Amritsar packers who build cases in-house, and we manufacture pre-cut, pre-assembled crates and pallets to specification for buyers who would rather receive finished packing units at the gate.</p></div>
