1 · Choose your grade
The grade is set by the adhesive bond — how much water the panel will face in transit and storage. See BWP vs BWR explained for the full detail.
| Grade | Standard | Water resistance | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| MR — Moisture-Resistant | IS 303 | Resists humidity | The workhorse — dry road, rail & container export cases |
| BWR — Boiling-Water-Resistant | IS 303 | High | Humid ports, monsoon transit, longer storage |
| BWP — Marine | IS 710 | Waterproof | Water-exposed cargo / long sea voyages (over-spec for dry crating) |
2 · Choose your face
| Face veneer | Weight | Surface | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Commercial hardwood | Standard | Standard | Economical — the default for most cases |
| Okoume (gaboon) | Light | Smooth, paintable | Lower freight + clean branding; export cases where weight matters |
3 · Common thicknesses & sizes
Thicknesses: 4, 6, 9, 12, 16, 19 and 25 mm (other thicknesses on request).
Sheet sizes: 8'×4' standard; custom sizes (e.g. 10'×5') made to order.
4 · ISPM-15, in one line
Plywood is generally exempt from ISPM-15 (manufacturing eliminates pests). The solid-wood framing and runners are heat-treated and stamped. We supply finished cases and crates already ISPM-15 compliant for any country that enforces it. See ISPM-15 for plywood packaging.
