Unit 01
Plywood factory
Veneer peeled, dried, hot-pressed and graded — film-faced shuttering, marine, commercial and okoume packing plywood, calibrated panel after panel.
Industries
Five sectors. One common requirement: wood that performs as specified — pour after pour, voyage after voyage, season after season.

Five sectors · five continents
Five sectors served from our Perumbavoor operation — to the spec, on the schedule, container after container. Each one below links straight to the grades it uses.
01 · Construction & Formwork
Civil contractors and formwork suppliers don't buy a sheet — they buy a number of pours. We make high-density film-faced shuttering in the film weights and thicknesses that survive repeat use and strip to a fair face, plus chequered anti-skid board for scaffold platforms and walkways. Sized to your form system, loaded by the container, the same panel each delivery.

Boatbuilders and marine fit-out shops need plywood that survives immersion, steam and humidity without delaminating. The IS 710 BWP marine plywood we make is 100% phenolic-bonded on a full hardwood core — BS 1088 grade available on request — for hulls, decks, bulkheads and wet interiors. Boatyards supplied from Perumbavoor, backed by four decades of group manufacturing, cut to the yard's spec.
03 · Joinery & Interiors
Joinery firms, furniture clusters and interior contractors need the right grade for the right job — and the same board every order. We make commercial plywood in BWR and MR, block board, finger-joint board, particle board and sawn timber, gap-free and machined flat, so cabinets, carcasses and worktops come out true.
04 · Doors & Shutters
Developers and door dealers need flush doors that stay flat and take a fixing without blowing out. The block-core flush doors we build come veneered, laminated or PU-finished, in standard residential sizes or bespoke dimensions — finished, crated and loaded for the container.
05 · Export Packaging
Exporters, OEMs and 3PLs crating heavy or engineering goods need packaging built to the cargo, not to a catalogue. We build ISPM-15 pallets, plywood boxes and crates and cable drums to your bill of materials — plus lightweight okoume packing plywood that takes weight, and freight, off every case.
Four units · one name
Cochin Wood Industries is plural for a reason. Plywood, sawn timber, packing cases and boards each run on a dedicated floor — four units feeding one export desk.
Unit 01
Veneer peeled, dried, hot-pressed and graded — film-faced shuttering, marine, commercial and okoume packing plywood, calibrated panel after panel.
Unit 02
Hardwood logs broken down into sawn timber, runners and battens — sized to the job and seasoned to load, for joinery floors and packing lines alike.
Unit 03
Boxes, crates, pallets and cable drums built to your bill of materials — heat-treated, ISPM-15 stamped and ready to clear customs.
Unit 04
Block board, flush doors, finger-joint and particle board — gap-free cores machined flat, so carcasses and shutters come out true.
Why Cochin Wood
Five sectors, one discipline: the right grade, certified for export, shipped on time. Here's what that means in practice.
IS 710 BWP for marine, 120 gsm film-faced for formwork, IS 303 BWR for joinery. We quote the grade the job needs — never the nearest substitute.
ISPM-15 heat-treated and stamped, phytosanitary certificate, FOB / CIF / CFR from Cochin Port. Your container clears customs without surprises.
A single point of contact from quote to bill of lading — with a written quote and grade recommendation back within one business day.
