BWP means boiling-waterproof. These named versions are separate enquiries, not interchangeable labels or a live stock list. State the required marine standard, core, face, finished thickness and calibration tolerance. We confirm availability, treatment and supporting documents for the exact board quoted.

Calibration is thickness finishing; it does not establish an emission class or suitability for a structural boat part. Vessel design requirements still apply.

What is IS 710 marine plywood?

IS 710 is the Indian Standard for marine plywood. Confirm the construction, bond performance and applicable test or licence documents for the board quoted. Suitability for the finished marine assembly also depends on its design, protection and installation.

What is the difference between IS 710 and IS 303?

IS 710 covers marine plywood. IS 303:2024 covers general-purpose plywood in MR, BWR and BWP grades. A BWP label alone does not identify marine plywood. Confirm the standard and supporting documents for the board quoted. Full comparison →

What thickness should I use for a boat?

Do you supply BS 1088 and what is the minimum order?

BS 1088 grade is available on request. Within India we supply a full truckload ex-factory from Perumbavoor; for export, one 20 ft or 40 ft container FOB Cochin Port. Part-loads and LCL consolidation are available where the route and quantity allow, confirmed on the quote.
