Buying guide

How we quote plywood

Every quote is built against your specification. Here is what goes into it, what to send us, and what you get back: a written quote, in USD for export, within one business day.

TL;DR: We are the manufacturer, so your enquiry is priced against our own production. Send the product, thickness, size, quantity and destination; we reply with a written quote within one business day. Export quotes are in USD and FOB Cochin by default, with CFR or CIF where agreed.

What sets the price of a plywood quote

Two panels that look alike can be quoted very differently. These are the things that decide where your quote lands. We do not publish a rate list, because veneer, resin and freight move; the quote is dated and written for your exact specification.

Quote driverWhat it changes
ThicknessA thicker panel uses more veneer and glue, so the quote follows the thickness you specify.
Construction and glue bondMR, BWR, BWP and marine constructions use different cores and glue lines, and they are quoted as different products.
Face veneerA commercial face and an Okoume or Gurjan face are different raw materials.
Film gradeFor film-faced shuttering plywood, the film and edge finish selected for the construction are part of the quote.
Quantity and container fillFull-container lots are quoted on how the container is loaded, which depends on sheet weight, layout and the destination’s road limits.
PackingLoose stacks, pallets and export crates are different packing, and the choice is stated on the quote.
Incoterm and freightFOB Cochin leaves freight and clearing with you. If you ask for CFR or CIF, the quote carries current freight to the port you name.
TimingStock items and made-to-order items run on different lead times, and the dispatch date is on the proforma invoice.

For the same logic applied to sheets sold within India, see the plywood price guide.

What to send us

A complete enquiry lets us quote to the sheet. Without these, any number is a guess.

  • Product: film-faced shuttering, commercial or packing grade, BWR, marine or another line from the products page. If you are unsure, name the application and we will suggest the grade.
  • Bond or grade: for example MUF/BWR or PF/BWP for shuttering plywood.
  • Thickness and sheet size.
  • Face veneer, if it matters.
  • Quantity: sheets, or containers for export.
  • Destination: the delivery city for India, or the port for export, and the Incoterm you prefer.
  • Timing: the date you need the goods.

What you get back, and when

We reply to a complete enquiry with a written quote within one business day. The quote names the product and the standard or bond grade, the quantity, the Incoterm and the basis of the quote, the lead time, and the payment terms. Test certificates are available on request for the lot quoted. The validity of a quote is as stated in our Terms.

Export quotes are in USD. FOB Cochin is the default; CFR or CIF is available where agreed. Payment is by bank transfer (T/T). Import duty, VAT and clearance at the destination are handled by your clearing agent. Country notes are on the export pages, including UAE and Saudi Arabia, and the steps from quote to container are in the export process.
