About
Cochin Wood Industries is a Kochi (Ernakulam)-based manufacturer of plywood, packing cases and timber, and a plywood exporter; in timber since 1986. We make commercial plywood (also called packing-grade plywood), plywood for interiors and furniture, flooring plywood, shuttering plywood and marine plywood in our factories in Perumbavoor, Kerala. Rubberwood describes a common core in the commercial / packing range; Okoume describes a face veneer available across our interior plywood range. We supply buyers across India and overseas, FOB Cochin; sawn timber is supplied within India.
Plywood families
- Commercial plywood (packing grade): standard rubberwood-core MR panel for cases, crates, pallets and suitable general work. The commercial plywood page and rubberwood core guide describe the same family.
- Interiors and furniture: semi-hardwood plywood, alternate plywood, full red core plywood and premium / BWR hardwood plywood. The premium hardwood options are part of the last family.
- Flooring: container flooring plywood, with or without groove, and chequered anti-skid plywood. Confirm the construction for container, vehicle or industrial flooring.
- Film-faced shuttering plywood for concrete formwork.
- Marine plywood for the quoted wet-service requirement.
Okoume face options are a veneer choice, not a separate plywood family; an Okoume face can be specified on any of our interior plywood constructions, subject to the written specification.
