Commercial plywood and packing-grade plywood are names for the same family in our range. Our standard panel has a rubberwood core and an MR bond for cases, crates, pallets and suitable general uses. The final face, thickness and grade are confirmed on the written quote.

This is another name for our commercial and packing plywood range, not a separate furniture grade. The standard construction is rubberwood-core MR plywood. For furniture or a visible interior finish, tell us the intended use; a semi-hardwood or premium hardwood construction may be a better fit. The name alone does not establish the required face, finish or water resistance.

Changes requested for the job
A BWR (boiling-water-resistant) bond can be requested for humid service. Other cores, face choices, occasional thicknesses above 18 mm and tighter finished-thickness requirements are assessed separately. The written quotation must confirm the construction and availability; an MR panel is not a BWR or marine panel.

Rubberwood core
Our standard commercial / packing panel uses rubberwood. Agree the veneer construction, permitted core defects and finished thickness tolerance before ordering.
Bond stated on the quote
MR is the standard bond. If the work needs BWR, request it and confirm the grade in writing before ordering. Neither name promises marine suitability.
Use and finish agreed
Case making and general work have different face and tolerance needs from visible furniture. State the job so we can quote a suitable construction.

Are commercial plywood and packing-grade plywood different?
No. In our range, they are names for the same family. The standard panel has a rubberwood core and MR bond. Confirm the face, finished thickness and intended use on the quote.
Is commercial plywood waterproof?
The standard MR panel is moisture-resistant, not waterproof and not intended for permanent wet service. A BWR bond is available on request for suitable humid uses; the written quote must confirm it. IS 303:2024 also includes a BWP grade for general-purpose plywood; that does not make this MR panel BWP. For marine work, ask for IS 710 marine plywood.
Can I use commercial plywood for furniture?
Only where the quoted face, core, bond, finish and thickness tolerance suit the job. For visible furniture or controlled-thickness work, ask us whether semi-hardwood plywood or premium hardwood plywood is the better choice.
What thickness and sizes do you supply?
The standard range is 6–18 mm in 8 × 4 ft (2440 × 1220 mm) sheets. Occasional larger thicknesses and cut-to-size requests are assessed separately. The quote confirms the finished thickness, minus tolerance and availability.
What is the minimum order?
Within India, a full truckload ex-factory from Perumbavoor; for export, one 20 ft or 40 ft container FOB Cochin Port, documentation ready at dispatch. Part-loads and LCL consolidation are available where the route and quantity allow, confirmed on the quote.
