Alternate plywood is built using alternating layers of dense plantation hardwood (Eucalyptus) and lighter utility veneers. This cross-banded construction distributes load evenly across the sheet, giving contractors and furniture makers the screw-holding grip of hardwood with the cost and weight savings of lighter timber plies.
Every sheet passes through a chemical preservative dip tank before drying and hot pressing, providing deep protection against powder borers and termites.

Full red core plywood uses 100% uniform dense hardwood plies throughout the core, giving maximum screw holding and density. Alternate plywood alternates hardwood and lighter species, making it lighter and more affordable for general furniture work.
