Shuttering plywood for Saudi Arabia

Film-faced shuttering plywood for formwork in the Kingdom, made in our own factories in Perumbavoor, Kerala and shipped direct to Jeddah or Dammam. Manufacturer-direct, FOB Cochin by default, every quote in USD, and a written reply within one business day.

TL;DR: If you need shuttering plywood for a project in Saudi Arabia, we make it ourselves in Perumbavoor, Kerala (in timber since 1986) and ship it by container from Cochin Port to Jeddah Islamic Port or King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam. FOB Cochin is our default; CFR or CIF is available where agreed. You choose the bond (MUF/BWR or PF/BWP), the thickness and the sheet weight, and we confirm the construction in the written quote.

Shuttering plywood made by the manufacturer

Cochin Wood Industries is a plywood manufacturer. Your shuttering plywood is made in our factories in Perumbavoor, about 40 km from Cochin Port, then stuffed into containers and loaded at Cochin. There is no trading layer between the factory and your quote: the desk that prices your enquiry is the desk that books your production.

The panel is film-faced hardwood plywood for slab decks, columns and wall forms: a hardwood core with a phenolic film on both faces. It is the same panel we describe on our film-faced shuttering plywood page; this page explains how it reaches a Saudi site.

What you can specify

Choose the bond first, then the thickness and the nominal sheet weight. The combinations below are enquiry options; availability, batch weight and the final construction are confirmed in the written quotation.

How it reaches Saudi Arabia: FOB Cochin to Jeddah or Dammam

Quotes are in USD. FOB Cochin is the default: we deliver the goods on board at Cochin and you control the freight and the clearing. CFR or CIF to Jeddah or Dammam is available where agreed, priced against current freight. The minimum export order is one 20 ft or 40 ft container, with part-loads and LCL where the route and quantity allow, confirmed on the quote.

Jeddah Islamic Port covers the western province and the Red Sea corridor; King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam covers the Eastern Province and reaches Riyadh by road. Both lanes carry regular container services, direct or via transhipment. We plan each loading around the carrier’s payload limit, the destination road rules and the container’s usable space, and send the packing list with net and gross weights before the vessel sails.

We do not hold a warehouse or local stock in Saudi Arabia. We ship to the port you name; under FOB Cochin, delivery takes place on board at Cochin. Onward trucking to your site is arranged by you or your clearing agent. Our Saudi terms, routing and import notes are on the plywood export to Saudi Arabia guide.

Duty, VAT, SABER and documents

Import duty and VAT are charged at clearance by Saudi customs and are handled by your agent. The GCC Common External Tariff is 5% customs duty on the CIF value, and 15% VAT is charged on the customs value plus customs duty, not on the CIF value alone. Your clearing agent confirms the tariff line and the rates in force.

Conformity registration under the SABER platform (SASO) is completed by the Saudi importer, so we do not issue SASO certificates ourselves. We supply the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and bill of lading, plus the technical data sheets and product data your importer or conformity consultant needs, and we respond to document queries while the filing is in process. Tell us at enquiry stage what your conformity route requires and we build the document set around it.

Plywood panels are processed wood and exempt from ISPM-15.

Payment

Payment is by bank transfer (T/T). Standard products ship on 50 percent advance with the balance before dispatch; made-to-order goods are 100 percent advance. We do not publish rates: each quote is built against your bond, thickness, sheet weight and quantity. See how we quote for what goes into it.

Shuttering plywood for Saudi Arabia: common questions

Do you make shuttering plywood yourselves?

Yes. Cochin Wood Industries is the manufacturer. The panels are made in our own factories in Perumbavoor, Kerala, and we have been in timber since 1986.

Which Saudi ports do you ship to?

Jeddah Islamic Port and King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam. We do not have a Saudi warehouse, so delivery from the port to your site is arranged by you or your clearing agent.

Is it quoted FOB or CIF?

FOB Cochin by default. CFR or CIF to Jeddah or Dammam is available where agreed. All export quotes are in USD.

Do you provide SASO or SABER certificates?

Conformity registration under SABER is completed by the Saudi importer, so we do not issue SASO certificates ourselves. We supply the documents and technical data your conformity consultant needs and answer queries while the filing is in process.

Which bond should I choose, MUF/BWR or PF/BWP?

MUF with a BWR bond is the water-resistant version; PF with a BWP bond is the waterproof version. The written quote confirms the selected grade and applicable standard. Sheet weight alone does not tell you which bond a panel has.

What are the payment terms?

Bank transfer (T/T) only: 50 percent advance with the balance before dispatch for standard products, and 100 percent advance for made-to-order goods.

Send the bond, thickness and quantity.

Tell us MUF or PF bond, thickness, sheet weight, quantity and your port (Jeddah or Dammam). We reply with a written USD quote within one business day. You can also read the Saudi Arabia export guide or how we quote.
