Infocity-I, Infocity-II and the Infovalley corridor along NH-16 host data-handling, electronics R&D and IT hardware assembly units. The packing problem here is not weight; it is shock, humidity and theft resistance during multi-modal transit. Server racks, networking gear, lab-grade equipment and prototype hardware typically ship in 12 mm to 18 mm plywood crates with internal foam cradles. Edge protection and corner reinforcement matter more than raw thickness.

Kalinga belt and steel ancillaries

The Kalinganagar industrial complex, about 100 km north of Bhubaneswar, and the auto-component clusters around Khurda anchor demand for heavy crate-and-pallet packing. Machined steel parts, forgings, valves and pumps from these belts move to Paradip and Visakhapatnam ports for export. The road distance from Kochi to Bhubaneswar is roughly 1,700 km. Single-driver transit is 4 to 5 days; team-driven trucks can run it in 3 days during favourable seasons.

For full-truck loads (FTL) of 20 to 25 tonnes, FOR-Bhubaneswar pricing makes sense and we route through partner transporters. For smaller pulls, part-load consolidation through Vijayawada or Hyderabad transit hubs is cheaper but adds 2 to 3 days. Packing vs Okoume vs shuttering ply

• Specify shuttering ply only when the buyer is in construction or infrastructure. It is not a substitute for packing ply in crating: different glue line, different surface, different price point.
