What Kuwait importers order from us

Most enquiries from Kuwait fall into two baskets. The first is packing-grade plywood: MR bonded, IS 303, in 6, 8, 12, 15 and 18 mm, bought by crate makers, machinery packers and re-export businesses working around the Shuwaikh and Shuaiba industrial areas. The second is commercial and BWR plywood for joinery, fit-out and site work. Okoume is available as a face veneer on both the MR packing and BWR grades where a buyer wants a lighter, cleaner face.

Beyond sheet material, we supply ready-made plywood boxes and crates, plywood pallets, cable drums, film-faced shuttering plywood for formwork, IS 710 BWP marine plywood and container flooring ply. A mixed container is normal; many Kuwait orders combine packing sheets with a quantity of shuttering or commercial panels.

Routing: Cochin to Shuwaikh and Shuaiba

We quote FOB Cochin as the default. Your forwarder or line books the sea leg; we deliver the container to the terminal at Cochin, complete export customs and hand over a clean document set. Shuwaikh, the container gateway for Kuwait City, and Shuaiba, serving the industrial belt to the south, are both routine discharge ports on our GCC shipments. Nominate whichever suits your clearance agent and final delivery point; the paperwork is identical.

Plywood is dense cargo, so containers weigh out before they cube out. We plan each load sheet by sheet against the applicable weight cap and share the packing list, with net and gross weights and sheet counts per thickness, before the container gates in. No surprises at the weighbridge on either end.

ISPM-15: panels are exempt, crates are covered

A point that saves Kuwait importers real time: plywood panels themselves are exempt from ISPM-15, because plywood is processed wood. Sheet shipments need no heat-treatment mark and no fumigation certificate at either end. Where you order finished boxes, crates or pallets, we produce them under an ISPM-15 compliant process so the packaging clears without query.
